Design Intervention Studio was proud to present its seminar on Creating an Affordable Small Business Web Site at the 2008 Showcase of Champions held at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel. The event was attended by a wide variety of business representatives looking to grow their business on the internet.
Neil Eisenberg spent the first half of the program talking about how marketing, graphic design, and computer programming skills all play a part in putting togethert a web site that stands out from the crowd. He also took time to ask all the audience members to try and articulate what it was they needed from their website.
From e-commerce, to video-on-demand to finncial services presentations, the audience varied in their needs, but the message was the same. By using the newest technology and integrating a content management system with a compelling design, even the smallest business could compete with anyone. Web sites need to be designed from the top down, meaning that you need to envision the finished product, and then work backwards to acheive it, rather than the other way around. too many designers have a limited bag of tricks, and work to fit all clients into the same tool set, or comfort zone...leading to the ultimate "template" look and feel.
Design Intervention Studio starts every job with a blank canvas, and looks forward to each new project as a new and exciting challenge, or art project. Please gice us a call for your nexct web redeign, or to get started growing your business on the web.
