Launched in November 2008, this not-for-profit organization needed a new look. Design Intervention Donated $3000 toward The Center in servces producing this site which is LOADED with features, information, and beautiful graphics. The logo designed by Board President Sephir Hamilton of Central Hudson was the starting point for this really beautiful design.
Almost every word on this site is editable through a simple user interface that allows for complete content management directly through the browser. Design Intervention Studio builds this content management system into every site they build, and it is completely custom!

Built initially for Primary Season, this political sites tracked global interest in the US elections using high end flash mapping and voting integration, extensive use of video, and polling.
This very complex site was built in conjunction with Solara Media, who came up with the layout and design, and then hired Design Intervention Studio to put together the pages and devlop the functionality.

The site was built as a CUSTOM e-commerce site using PayPal. The items are administered through a browser based system built from scratch just for this site by esign Intervention Studio.

This site really should be called Marvin and Marvin and Marvin ...and Marvin? Well, it's actually a family of lawyers in Rhinebeck NY with history going way back in Dutchess County. These Marvins also give a lot back to the community, and they were wonderful to work with. I LOVE this site.
I decided to go with all custom photography and used a technique similar to the one used for pictures in the Wall Street Journal. The result is an amazing site that is truly unique and beautiful.

Having tried a competitor, Dr Prus approached us to fix his site. What we did was produce something that matched the sleek lines and colors of their marketing materials, as well as the state-of-the-art technology of his practice.
Lots of info called for the use of high end Ajax technology on every page. The entire site is built with a custom content management system which means it will grow and evolve as its content grows and evolves. Used a great javascript based photo album that looks like flash and works like HTML. The result is a system that works on all browsers and gets high grades from search engines.

Tatiana is an artist originally from Russia who has made the Hudson Valley of New York her home. Having travelled the world she brings her AMAZING artwork or lush oils and watercolors to this site. We used a system that allows her to load her own work on an ongoing basis.
This is a site that evokes the mood in Tatiana's paintings and uses state-of-the-art AJAX technology to load content into the page, without actually RELOADING the page itself! This works great for her to be able to edit content in place when in admin mode.

Hey Uncle Rock! This fabulous singer songwriter has an alter ego. Uncle Rock performs all over the country for big and small kids alike. We developed this complete package featuring animated logos and all sorts of cool stuff. All custom designed by DIS!
This site was designed using lots of Flash combined with a (literally) rockin' logo created from artwork supplied by the young son of the artist (thanks Jack!). Together with some imagination, a calendar script and some wild colors - the legend was born!

This is a beauty! This site has literally HUNDREDS of pages, deep layers of content that will keep anyone interested for hours and hours. Designed to promote this world class resort, the challenge was presenting a LOT of content in a beautiful and interesting way, and in a way worthy of this international treaure. Located in Florida, this resort and wellness community is built around a warm mineral spring that contains more healing minerals than any other Spring in the World!!!!
We used Flash a lot on this site, but in ways that are extremely subtle. From the bubbles that greet you on the home page, to streaming video in the media section (lots of it) there is enough cutting edge technology to make anyone jump for joy. We have news, jobs, articles, links, calendars......you name it! Did I mention interactive maps?

These folks are the DaVinci's of the mouth. The Michealangelos of the molars, the... well you get it. When they needed their site rebuilt in conjunction with a big Extreme Makeover promotion, we came through, creating an inviting site with lots of great interactive flash elements mixed with a search-engine-friendly set of pages that showcase the high end nature of these oral artists.

This site was the one that put us on the map, as the FIRST of our award winning sites with Netfirms. Chosen as their Site of the Week becuase of the way we integrated a fabulous design with the built-in OSCommerce shopping cart software that comes loaded with Netfirms Business hosting packages, this great site has a lot going on.
Not only is it a full-featured E-Commerce site with a simple administrative control panel for the owner to use to update products, prices, and information, but it looks great too. The challenge was to create a site using open source shopping cart code that looks NOTHING like any other OSCommerce site. I think we succeeded, and so does Netfirms! They told me it was the best customized cart site they had ever seen!
What can you say about a web store. Yes, it does all that! Allows for reviews, an "also-bought" feature, top sellers, inventory control, on sale items, specials, as well as some things we added like, calendar, articles, and more. It has a built-in newsletter and order tracking system, and it ishooked right to the Post Office for dead-on shipping quotes.
Nice. Did we mention it was affordable? We charged the same as any other site.

This is a design that we always wanted to create, and Thomas Martinelli was bold enough to let us go for it! This site has gotten a lot of praise from the design community, and it is 100% content managed.
What this means is the entire site is built around a system that allows Thomas Martinelli Consulting to make copy changes anytime they want with a simple user interface built into the site itself.
Even though we kept the content part simple, we make up for it with fresh articles and news items, as well as a beautiful presentation that showcases the creativity behind this dynamic consulting firm.

Elliott Landy's photographs grace album covers of Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, The Band, The Doors, and more. Also known for his photographs of the original 1969 Woodstock Festival, he was looking for a clean look that presented over 500 images for people to view while also offering prints, books, and CD ROMs available for sale through his existing PAYPAL account.
Built on a budget, the site gets hundreds of hits a day, and generated revenue within one week online. We designed the layout, design, all graphics, and custom scripts.
Included third party forum script which we customized for the site, and added a mailing list feature, as well as the ability to promote shows, and sell other products easily. Elliott also wanted us to create sites for his individual artist photographs on his other domain names. We created a template based on this design and created an additional 15 sites that all link back to this one.

Worked to incorporate logo into the overall site design and added lots of features to draw clients to the site.
This site was produced on a very low budget, and conveys the feeling of professionalism the client was after. Functionality includes a complete library of online forms that saves the client a lot in mailing costs, and links to all the sites represented by this agency.

Beautiful site to showcase a unique charter boat in the Caribbean.
Site features interactive sailing region map, as well as an interactive map of the ship itself. The entire site was done with simple java script and has sparked lots of interest from other charter boats seeking the same kind of site.
Although there were a number of options in building the interactive features, we chose simple image swapping due to time constraints from the client in getting the site done, as well as a limited budget. Light - airy - elegant! The entire site was built in about 2 weeks.
